Exo is pioneering a high-performance, handheld ultrasound platform that uses artificial intelligence for imaging and therapeutic applications. Exo is calling physician investigators to partner on collaborative research studies to demonstrate the value of its innovative point-of-care ultrasound (POCUS) platform. Exo is willing to support research proposals leveraging its state-of-the-art technology.
What products are part of Exo’s POCUS platform?
Exo’s POCUS platform includes Exo Iris®, a 3-in-1 handheld ultrasound probe with proprietary pMUT silicon technology; Exo Works®, a device-agnostic medical software workflow solution with end-to-end orchestration; and Exo AI, real-time, on-device artificial intelligence for image acquisition guidance and interpretation without the need of Wi-Fi connectivity.
Why research?
Exo’s mission of taking medical imaging everywhere requires strong clinical partnerships to advance therapeutic applications, education, and the overall scientific understanding of POCUS.
What support is Exo willing to offer?
Exo is willing to provide equipment loans for medical devices needed for research. Exo may support research proposals through funding. If funding is required, an itemized budget for all study costs must be presented to Exo. Also, if data analysis and technical support are needed, Exo may offer internal resources to help. All support will be outlined in a comprehensive research agreement between Exo and the research party.
What’s required?
To receive support from Exo, you must submit a research proposal detailing the study area and how you plan to utilize Exo’s POCUS platform. Exo will support studies that align with its business strategy and have clinical value that will translate into patient benefits. Studies must have a solid design with detailed statistical analysis plans. If the research aligns with Exo’s mission of taking medical imaging everywhere, you’ll be contacted to discuss support via contract negotiations.
When will I hear back?
Exo is committed to responding to all research inquiries in a timely manner. Research proposals are reviewed internally by a research board. The board will review the proposal and determine if it will support the research in less than two weeks.
Please fill out our form to submit a research proposal or request someone from Exo to contact you about research partnerships.
